Yes, I agree that any of those colors will work.
A heads up. Kona cotton shrinks in both length and width. I've done wash/dryer test on it. And different colors shrink different amounts--go figure! It's great fabric to work on, just buy extra to account for the loss. Sandy |
I agree with those who said Kona Snow.

I made a quilt with Kona a few years ago. (or more)
I wanted it to look old with the repro fabrics I was using. I used the color Parchment and it was exactly the right color. |
I have not seen parchment yet. I'll add that to my list to check out. :)

BE CAREFUL!!!!! I just did a whole quilt with 1 1/2" (cut size) strips of Kona and it unraveled something terrible while I was working on it. It doesn't seem as tightly woven as other solids but I had to buy Kona because of the color/shade ranges that I needed. I won't make this mistake again and hope that it was "just me" somehow and not the Kona cottons....

I've been working on a quilt with Kona solids. No ravelling problems.
I did starch so I don't know if that made a difference. But I had a few colors that bled so I used Retayne on those. |
Not to muddy the Kona waters, LOL, but when I think 30's repro, I think of the pinkish muslin. My grandmother used it for everything. I have no idea if it started life as pink but almost every quilt she made has a light rose colored muslin backing, sashing, and/or background fabric in it and many of the antique quilts I've seen have that same pinkish hue.

I vote for the Kona color "Snow". Not too bright, kind of warm looking.
