What about trying to age look of material by soaking it in a weak solution of either tea or coffee?
Hope you find whatever suits you.

You could always get plain white and do a tea wash. That would give you an antique look to your background.

Did you buy it at JoAnn's? It is rumored that the Kona at JoAnn's is a lesser quality than "regular" Kona.

not a rumor, it is not the same quality at Joanns or at Hancocks...the one at Hancocks now is so thin it is horrid!

What? Oh no! I've been working on a hand-pieced Ocean Waves with Kona unbleached muslin from Joanns. This is bad!!!

Just a quick question re 30's fabric...for your coloured sashings, blue, green, yellow etc...what shades of Kona do you use for these..eg mint green
