First, be sure you know which Kona you are getting when you compare prices. There is Kaufman Kona (which is the preferred one, I think) and Kona Bay Kona. Kaufman is more expensive. Also be sure you are comparing the same widths.

I usually buy from http://www.fabric.com but the very best time to buy is when Hancock's of Paducah has their annual sale (which I think is sometime in December or January). At last year's sale they put Kaufman Kona on sale, plus I got something like a 30% discount off the sale price and free shipping. If I remember correctly, it ended up being something like $2/yard. That website is http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/ . Just be sure to realize, when you are shopping this Hancocks, that their prices are all in *half* yards.

Edit: Also be aware that there is always at least one coupon for fabric.com that you can add for additional savings. Google "fabric.com coupon code" before placing your order, and also check their website's coupon page (usually listed at the bottom of a page) to get a code.

Fabric.com with coupon or Hancock fabrics when it's already on sale witha Joann's 20% entire purchase coupon. :) a really good price is $4.50-4.75/yd from what i have found.

We have a chain here in California called Beverley's. They put out coupons. I buy it by the bolt with a 40% off coupon.
Otherwise I just wait until there is an online sale with free shipping or a local sale. I use so much of it that I begin to get the shakes if I have less than 2 yards on hand! LOL

I just checked fabric.com and they currently have it for 5.48/yard and with the 20% off code "sewsorry" it's only 4.35/yard with free shipping at $35. Plus they cut 37" yards. That's probably the best deal you will find with the least amount of work and no driving. :)

Hobby Lobby usually has it for 30% off.

I buy Kaufman Kona by the bolt. Disounted nicely if I buy 15 yards. Also, I only buy Kona Snow. The white is way too bright and the off white is too dark. The other thing, I only buy when they have free shipping. I think you may receive a free shipping code when you sign up or their online newsletter

Oh yeah, I get it from Hancocks of Paducah! Joanns does not carry the real thing

Mainly I use retailmenot.com to get these type of coupons. I know Hobby Lobby has a 40% off coupon nowadays or I am wrong? http://www.hobbylobby.com/emailCouponLanding/ - this one.

The coupon code for online use is 7080
