Kassaundra you do beautiful work. I would enter that in a show. It is just gorgeous

Kassaundra, your rosettes are so lovely. Wow! I love how you have fussy cut the pieces. Amazing. I think I may appliqué mine on another piece of material too but I'll see when I get there. Mine looks so plain compared to yours but I will keep on going. I don't have the kind of material to fussy cut right now but if I ever make another one I am going to keep that in mind and buy, buy, buy new material. I need to follow the book pattern in order to make these rosettes. I am not worldly enough to figure it out on my own. I love your rosettes and all.

The great thing about this quilt is even if you don't have the patterns to fussy cut the whole quilt is intriquet enough to still look great and interesting. I really love the simplicity of 2 or 3 color graphic material, it is overlooked in this quilt a lot but can be cut to have a very interesting look. When you go to the fabric shop take a few small squares of paper that you have cut a window in the size and shape of the pieces (especially the pentes and large diamond) so you can look at the pattern on the fabric w/ the actual size and shape to see if it will work.

Oh my gosh! Those are works of art!

No apologies. The pictures are amazing. As a beginner, I see from posts on this site, that there are no limits to the places a quilter can go.

I took a few pics of the partials where they are going to live in the quilt and a group shot of the whole quilt to this point w/ the border I plan on using.

Love your work. Good choices and great fussy cutting.

I may have to attach mine in the same way. It hurts me to thing of cutting some of these rosettes in half to square the quilt up. I didn't even think about fussy cutting when I cut my material but it really does add so much. I showed my pictures on the picture part just recently.

If you are squaring up your edges like the pattern shows, you don't make the whole rosette, just up to the cut off point.

Some new pics of the progress on my la pass, and a pic showing how I stitch the big rosettes in sections for easier for me assembly.
