Hi

A friend from Chicago suggested that I look at your website. I am planning a touring trip to New England in October with my 79 year old mother. She is hoping to buy a traditional handmade patchwork quilt - not vintage as I expect this would be too expensive. Can anyone suggest anywhere in the Boston area or Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont or Rhode Island where she might find a retail outlet (not Walmart!).

Thanks

Jane:)

Don't overlook resale and consignment shops. You might find an old quilt that you both love----------and possibly for a good price, too. (don't know Boston at all so I can't tell you anything more) Also check out quilt shows and auctions prior to your trip. There might possibly be something interesting that falls in line with your travel time.

Keepsake Quilting in NH has quilts for sale, that are consigned from the makers. Probably a wide range of prices.

Look for quilt auctions in Amish areas.
