Lamb Quilt Quilting Suggestions, Please

1 Attachment(s)
I'm a bit stumped as to how to quilt this one I'm working on for grandlamb. Each block looks just like this--it's big (approx 18") . So far I've used the walking foot just around neutral frames. The inner block (with the focus fabric) is snowballed with blue corners. I can FMQ but am only fair at it, I'd say.

Any suggestions while I take a lunch break to think on this? I'd really like to finish the quilting by dinnertime so I can start binding.

If you're more comfortable with straight line quiltng,
then why not continue in the same manner for the snowballed blocks?

I'd find a color book picture of a lamb and put a lamb in the center making sure you don't have any areas too open, in the center of each. That way they will see the lamb on the back. You could actually do a lot of different animals. Google Farm Animal Coloring Pages. Your quilt is very cute. Can't wait to see how you do finish it.

I would FMQ bumps like clouds or sheep wool in the focus squares.

I would do diagonal channel quilting on the lamb fabric.

what about doing straight diagonal lines from the edge of each snowball to it's opposite (diagonal), you could travel SID along the edge of the lamp fabric/blue--this would create a 4 bladed fan.

I like the idea of farm animals, I would put them walking along the tan border.

A simple square in the center would be quick and easy if you are hoping to have it finished yet today. May need to do several echoed if the block is 18" though.
