Hi everyone!
I am planning a trip to York County PA in a few days. I have been trying to get a list of quilt/fabric shops in neighboring Lancaster County. I went there summer 2010 and the list I got off of the internet wasn't very current. So any of you familiar with the area - I'd be very appreciative if you could give me a list of shops you love in the area and which ones are worthwhile visiting and which ones aren't. I'm obviously going as a quilter - not as someone looking to buy already made quilts. I'm coming from FL so it's not like this is something I'll be able to repeat often - so want to get the most 'bang for my buck'. Thanks in advance!

Debbie

Hi and welcome to the board.

Your best bet is to use the search function at the top of the page. Type in Lancaster. You will get loads of topics for the exact same thing with loads of suggestions. Here are just a few

I have my list ready. You would wonder how I could have a list when I was just there in June and spent many $$$$. The problem is we just don't have many nice lqs around here to go to and the prices are $3-4 a yard cheaper, sometimes more. This time around it is mostly for flannel for the dgk Christmas sleep pants. I like to select a winter type print now that they are older-they range from 8-19 and look forward to them every Christmas Eve.

My favorites are: Burkholder's, Sauder's, Zooks.

Our first favorite is Burkholders. We go there first. We always go to Sauders too, sometimes Zooks. We also like Weavers. Tried the Hayloft in June and was impressed. I think we are going to stop in at Obie this time. Just to see what it is all about.
