Large EPP Quilts ??????

I'm new to quilting and have taken quite fondly to EPP, but can't see any projects out there for actual blanket sized EPP quilts. In fact, I see very little quilting taking place over EPP tops. So, my question is this: am I missing someone everyone else knows about EPP and quilting?

I have seen plenty of Grandmothers flower garden bed sized quilts. perhaps you can look that up, as maybe EPP just isnt giving you the right search results.

EPP quilts are very popular, maybe more so in Australia and Europe. Search for Sue Daley and Hugs n Kisses. Tula Pink has one or more too. Also the Paper Pieces website has templates to cut your own papers as well as papers cut and ready to piece.

A large Grand Mothers Flower Garden would be an easy EPP to start with. I made the King size GMG that is in my Avatar.

I believe tlynnc may have been inquiring as to how to actually quilt, the larger size. When I went looking (grandmother's flower garden) I saw some that had an all-over pattern and also straight line quilting. I'm not positive, but the bed size quilt my sister has was quilted to the solid green back and is either stitch in the ditch or perhaps maybe echo quilted around the hexagons as I seem to remember the hexagon shaped lines on the back. I also found http://www.womenfolk.com/quilt_patte...ory/mosaic.htm which indicated "Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts were often quilted about ¼ inch on each side of the seam lines. Usually the quilting was all done with white or off white thread."

I'm thinking that because of all the hand work and time involved as to why there aren't as many bed size patterns.

I was also going to suggest Millifiore/La Passacaglia quilts or Patchwork of the Crosses. Check out Jessie Aller's store, she sells heavy duty freezer paper templates in a large variety of shapes for EPP. https://www.etsy.com/shop/farawayroadstitching

Welcome to the Board.
This lady has some beautiful patterns you can make as large as you like. I think her pieces look rather small, but you could enlarge them for a quilt.
