I used this tutorial and it was a simple as could be --> http://www.twiddletails.com/store/in...age=page&id=21
I pieced together a block that I designed for my partner in the block swap. It was a lot of fun and I'm really pleased with how it came out. So great to learn a new (for me! :) ) technique!

I like paper piecing with freezer paper as you don't have to tear the darn paper off. I used it making a quilt design called Venice Rose. Thanks for sharing.

Does freezer paper dissolve when you wash it? I might have to try it with paper piecing!

I just use printer paper then run something that has a point like a point turner along the seam to help break the paper more.

This is an interesting method of foundation piecing I will have to try. Thanks for sharing.

Thankyou so much for the link. I have been trying to wrap my head around this for a couple of days, and I think the light bulb just clicked. Thankyou

I love paper piecing....until it is time to remove the paper. LOL. I will have to try this method. Thanks for sharing.

I thought I'd given up on pp-ing but maybe I'll try this method too. I WANT to like pp-ing but just never have yet.

Just FYI, I found this about freezer paper shrinking a bit on another website:

"On HGTV's Simply Quilts website, I found the episode that Sharon Schamber appeared in (QLT-1004). It does say that freezer paper shrinks in the WIDTH, but it doesn't say how much. It also says to pre-shrink it with starch and an iron."

Yes, you just peel it off after you've finished sewing. You don't sew through the paper at all so it's not attached other than "sticking".

When I first saw this tutorial, I thought it looked complicated and wasn't going to try it. But then I had an idea for a block I wanted to make so decided to give it a try. I'm such a hands-on learner- I just followed the directions one step at a time and before I was halfway through the block I didn't need the directions any more! It really was very simple.
