I have never quilted with flannel.
I'm making a baby quilt in reds, blacks and whites. I decided I'd better prewash because I know reds are real bad about bleeding. I rinsed all the other fabrics by hand and nothing bled. I have one solid dark red fabric. I rinsed and rinsed in a bowl and it just wouldn't stop bleeding. I added soap and still no change, it wasn't even lightening. I decided to squirt in some Spray and Wash. WAH LAH! No more bleeding! It just stopped! The fabrics I'm working with. |
WOW! I never would have thought of using S&W. I'll definitely try it. Whatever made you think of it?

I know lots of people who aren't babies who would love your quilt!
For those of you with asthma, spray and wash really triggers mine. Inventive idea, though. |
white vinegar is used to set tie dye shirts, so if I have something that bleeds alot, I put some white vinegar in the water and that stops it as well.

Great fabrics! :)
