i.m not any help i can only stitch in the ditch or echo but i just wanted to tell you your blocks are beautiful !

Love your blocks! I see a lot of "Y" seams to incorporate a half block to make the quilt be square therefore I would attach the matching size half squares before I sew the rows together. I always block my pieced quilt top before I cut my borders to make sure my corners are correct. Before I begin my quilt I always set aside more than enough fabric for my borders/sashings & binding. IMHO. Hope this helps.
