My friend owns a LA shop and has offered me the opportunity to learn to use the machine and work with her. She has a full time day job so is only able to open her shop in the evenings and weekends. She has sooooo much business and is falling behind so she offered to teach me so that I can help her out during the days since I am not working right now. I will get a percentage of each quilt...I am so excited.
Yesterday I did one of my own quilts as I learned how to use the machine .....

i wish i had someone close willing to do what you are doing...i have been trying to do exactly that for 4 years now---people come in and learn how to use the machine- do a quilt or two- then tell me- "well it's fun and all but I would rather just pay you to do my quilts instead of doing them myself- or other peoples"
so i work full time- and come home- and work full time-
and keep watching for that one person to come along with a little more interest.
