Yesterday evening I received a phone call from a good friend of mine. She is one of the chairwomen of the German Patchworkgilde and right now they are making plans for their annual quiltshow in May next year.
She asked me if I am willing to do a lecture there about wholecloth quilts, how to design them, their tradition etc. The lecture takes about 2 hours and I can bring my quilts to show them. Of course I said "Yes, I am pleased to do this!" I am really excited and happy! This is the first lecture for me and I can speak about the craft I love most: hand quilting and wholecloths! Just awesome! |
Wonderful! I'm sure you will really enjoy it and I'm even MORE sure that the audience will love it too. :-D
|
Congratulations! I'm sure they'll be dazzled by your work.

Congratulations. Have fun.

Wow! That is so great. Do you provide a pattern for the quilters who come to the lecture.
|
yeah...congrats...that is so awesome

That's great, Andrea. I wish I could be there. I wouldn't understand a word you say, but looking at the samples would be enough for me.

A woman after my own heart. Make sure you tell them how much wholecloth allows you to be creative and enjoy the process. Having no seams or different thread counts or different fabrics to deal with makes the whole process more enjoyable and for me relaxing. I can carry on a conversation with friends and family or watch TV or listen to music etc. and still make something beautiful.
I hope your audience really appreciates your work. |
Awesome!
