Left over DWR arcs
Just finished an oversized queen double wedding ring quilt using batiks. Have lots of pieces/arcs left. Any ideas on what to make other than a lap quilt. Don't want to put them on the back either.

can you use them as a border on something else? Wall hanging, table runner, tote bag?
|
Make pillow shams.....I send my shams along w/ the quilt to my long arm quilter (w/ one backing) and she quilts them in the same design. I then add the "back" sections and bind....lovely....

Already have batik pillow shams from prev batik quilt that will work

How about a dresser scraf or maybe a bed runner for the summer months instead of the quilt?
|
Depends on the number you have. I would make a table runner.

I like the idea of a bed runner.

Pillows, curtain swag, bed skirt,

I don't know the sizes of your pieces or the quantity, but would a scrappy batik quilt work for you? I made this one recently with several batik scraps, but since it also had a solid (white in this case) it might extend the scraps you have to make a larger quilt. (The pattern is called Picnic, in the book Scrap Basket Sensations by Kim Brackett and the largest piece size is 2 1/2" x 6 1/2") Or placemats and mug rugs if you don't have that much quantity.
