Lego Quilt question

Making Lego Quilts for the grandsons for Christmas....tops done...pondering how to quilt them. Any ideas? Thanks!

Those are so cute! I think I would do a rectangle meander like lots of little blocks.

Not sure what your Lego quilt looks like, but I would also agree with straight lines or rectangle meandering would accent the right angles of the rectangles. Searching on Pinterest I found several varieties of Lego quilts so I am anxiously looking forward to seeing yours.

Not sure with out seeing a picture of your quilt. I agree that straight lines or rectangle meandering would look good.

I've no idea what a Lego quilt looks like. Do you have a photo?

I definitely need to make one of these before my GS outgrows his love of all things Lego. Here's the one I want to do:

Pretty neat that the maker carved up a stamp to use for the Lego symbol.

I do like the stamp in the one linked above. It would be a nice detail to quilt a circle around each dot, maybe even trapunto it to get some raised texture.

I quilted one by going about 1/2" inside each block and around in spots to make the bumps in different colored floss. Met my coworker's approval and her son still loves it 12 years later - it's at college with him now. It's probably horrible to my current sewing, but at the time - it was the only money my brother and I had for Christmas, so I was crazy obsessive about making it look at least as nice as store bought.

I agree, it would have been neat to see a picture even as a top. Straight lines always work well with squares and rectangles. Good Luck !!
