This was a time ago about 8 years I think but I was visiting Colorado and as we drove past Golden I remembered there was a museum there. I asked my brother if we could stop he said yes. We went to the museum. Then on the way out I noticed a quilt shop and stopped in. It was closing time and she was cleaning up. She let me come in a look around. And we chatted for awhile. I don't remember if I even bought any thing but she was just as nice as she could be.

Fabric Fair, Bay Citym MI-lots of fabric, help and everyone is friendly and helpful.
Material Mart, Midland, Mi-very helpful staff and always friendly.
Miles of stitches, Hemlock, MI-they had tons of fabric- alot on sale. they didn't have some that i was looking for, but one store can't carry everything. i spent a lot of $in there so they must of had something. LOL

Olive Juice Quilts is my LQS in Onalaska, Wisconsin. There are several girls there who are just wonderful to work with. What I enjoy most from them is their help in choosing fabrics to go along with the one or two "must-haves" that I've chosen. I've never been disappointed. I can stop in and get help with foundation paper piecing, applique.....whatever it is I'm working on and need a helpful tip on. It's a wonderful shop. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood!

I couldn't agree with you more! Here in Brentwood, CA I go to a little shop called "Sew Ewe Quilt" and I love it. Nancy is the owner and everyone there is always so helpful! I'm a new quilter and they always answer my "silly" questions and give me tips. I'd be lost without them. I also have pretty good luck with my local Joann's, but not as helpful as my LQS!

Ooooo! I stopped at Candy's on the way to a Baby Shower once! Fantastic place!

Each and every time I go in I am greeted very warmly.
When I am stuck on colors they always come to my rescue.
I can go in with my pattern and they will spend hours helping me pick out just the perfect colors.
I love my LQS and staff.
:-)

Have you tried "The Sew and Sew" in Glendora yet? New shop -only been there once - but seems to be worth a look

I love going to Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor, NH. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, helping my find one particular fabric in the whole store that was used in a fabric medley (I wanted more fabric than the medley provided). They are always willing to talk about what you are going to make and will answer any question you have. It's a nice scenic drive to get there, though if it was closer to me I would be in lots of trouble! There are on the internet, though, and I do get their catalogs.

No I didn't even know it existed.

Where in Glendora?

I also take classes at Pollards in Glendora. That is where I bought my Pfaff 4.0.
Marsha and staff are great.
