Let's have a Take 5 quilt show!

I love the Take 5 quilt pattern and plan to make my first soon. Thought it might be fun to see others' finished quilts. ;-)

Well, I have done quite a few of them. Let me look and see what pictures I can find. Yup, here are a few. I have more, but....well, shouldn't be too showy, right?? :)

I just purchased the pattern and a line of fabric with Snoopy in Army duds! Plan to do a fun Quilts of Valor quilt very soon!

As an aside - what is it about quilts that attracts cats???

I am not sure, but I can't even begin to take a picture without my cat inspector getting involved. Hot Rod thinks he is a big help, actually.

Here's my 'Take Five." It's a fun pattern and gets done quickly! No idea why the photo us so large. Sorry. :-(

I love those quilts! So the pattern consists of 1 large square, 3 small squares and 1 rectangle? I think I can draw that pattern, maybe my next project.
I don't have a kitty to inspect it though... I do have a little Boston Terrier dog, but she is so hyper she might try to chew holes in it.

Very neat pattern.

Love your quilts and the pattern. Apparently the little furry guy loves your quilts too!

I like the orchid/purple one because that's my favorite color but I like the gold/green with the black border best. I have never made a take 5 before, and I'm not familiar with this pattern who is this by? Looks like a very easy and quick pattern to do.

duckydo 03-11-2014 04:33 AM

very neat, where do we find the pattern?

pmonaghen 03-11-2014 04:36 AM

I love this pattern...my "go to"...I made about 20 of them last year...one for each of the 10 ladies I work out with in the morning...and lots of baby shower gifts...i've made enough of them, that I can cut one out, and get the blocks put together in an evening...will look for pictures when I get home tonight....

They are beautiful. Love the cats and colors used in them. I have planned to make one, just seems I pick another pattern.

#1piecemaker 03-11-2014 05:18 AM

Love those quilts. Gotta get the pattern.

Dina, your cat looks almost identical to ours who passed away last month, 3 months shy of 21 yrs. old. Love your quilts AND inspector!

Daisy Dew 03-11-2014 06:08 AM

Okay Miss Dina!!! great quilt but really just background for the little four footer I'm sure he/she is a happy kitty purring like crazy. Great quilts by the way.

Take 5 - sounds good.

JanieH 03-11-2014 06:14 AM

Love your quilts and Hot Rod.

I am also interested in where to get the pattern. Thanks

WOW, great quilts and I see that you have the seal of approval from your beautiful kitty. Thanks for sharing.

Well, I am sorry I didn't come back and continue reading this thread sooner, but the pattern is called Take 5. The one I have says The Teacher's Pet TP #200 on it. It doesn't seem to have a person's name....but I did buy two of the books, let me look at them. I liked this pattern better than any of those in the books though... Okay, both my books say Kathy Brown on them. I bought my pattern at my local quilt store about three years ago.

Is Take 5 a pattern on the internet or purchased from LQS?

justme CA 03-11-2014 03:03 PM

Your beautiful kitty almost matches that lovely third one down quilt. Did you get the idea from the cat? Good idea!!
