I love them both, but if I HAD to choose, it would be #2. :-)

I like #1. #2 is just a little too busy.

My choice, #1. It is different from any I've seen-if you don't use it I'm betting someone will take that idea and run with it. I do like #2 also but as said by others, its a little busy for my taste and detracts from the larger cut of fabric.

I think you are just going to have to make both!
