I have recently been purchasing one of my all time favourite classic children programmes of the 70s LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRARIE. i use to watch this programme as a child and loved it so i have been collecting them on DVD
On watching them i have noticed a lot of patterned quilts as props on the beds some have beautiful patterns and one in particular is the one i am going to make It is amazing where you get quilt ideas from lol |
My daughters and I used to watch that series every week. What are some of the block patterns you have noticed?
|
It's amazing where our inspiration comes from !

I too watched Little House on the Prairie. Loved it.

Laura Ingalls Wilder's books, on which the series is based, were some of the first books I ever read. Kind of like Harry Potter of the 50's, but without floo powder.
|
I loved the books but could never get into the tv series. But I bet there are plenty of pretty quilts shown.
|
well = you should take a trip to our neck of the woods where their home still stands and the buriel site in our graveyard. Lots of LHOP history here. Laura passed in the 1950's.

As a mom to four girls, we look very fondly on LHOTP. I never thought to watch for the quilts, though... I'll keep my eyes open next time I watch.
