Here's a huge Carpenter's Wheel... I just enlarged the blocks and added another round to get it up to the size I wanted.

Oh, that's beautiful - and LOOK at those feathers! That's my favorite thing to quilt, feathers. :) Very pretty quilt, Wendy!

Quilt retreat day one: completed the HST, with extras. Need to cut them apart and iron ... Tomorrow.

Oh, how exciting! Did you reallly????? You're so productive! :)
|
How big were the pieces - I mean, the finished size of the HSTs and solid blocks? Gorgeous results, btw.

Glad to help! :)
You must have a GO cutter to have all those squares cut already - that's amazing! With 3" squares, this quilt will finish at 61" without adding any more borders - is that going to be big enough for you? The first one had 5" finished squares and the quilt will be 101" square - and I'm thinking I will probably need to put at least a 5" border around the right, left and bottom sides of the quilt to make it better for a king-size bed. (Especially if you're sharing with a blanket-snatcher. :D ) |
What size sq. should I use if I want a full size bed?
