I haven't bought batiks from Thousands of Bolts, but I have ordered from the 3 or 4 times and never been disappointed. They have some nice choices of batiks. (Hope the link works--I tried to link to a page with batiks)

Thousands of bolts has awesome batiks! Most are around $6-8/yd. Brand names like Hoffman, Timeless Treasures Tonga, Anthology, South Seas. They have a huge selection, great customer service too...you won't be disappointed.

That's it -- and I just ordered from there. It's that short-term memory that goes first! LOL

Fabric Shack has clearance of batik for $6.98, shipping is $3 and today is the last day of a 10% off everything.

www.5bucksayard.com has about 2 dozen batiks most priced at $5 yd. Great service, too!

Probably have to catch on sale...right now AbbiMays has some. FatQuarterShop has some. I definitely watch for sales. Store prices have increased to $11 and $12 a yard in some places. I just load up when I see it on sale. Cottons are $10.00 now!

I just looked at Hancocks sales they have Tonga Treats on sale. It says 6 pack 20 6" X 44" for 24.99. I know this is kind of a dumb
question but need clarification, I have never bought (or seen) this size precut. Am I thinking right? By my math it comes out to a total of 20 yards- 6" times 20 pieces times 6= 720 divided by 36"=20 yards. I know its a sale, but that seems rather cheap to me. Can someone straighten me out? Thanks

I believe they call it a 6 pack because they are 6" x WOF cuts. So 6" x 20 = 120 inches. 120 inches of fabric works out to be 3 and a 1/3 yards (120/36) so the price is still REALLY good as it works out to be $7.80 per yard

Had an email today that Connecting Threads is having a 20% off sale on fabrics. I saw Batiks.

I was just at a store in Intercourse, Pennsylvania and got a bunch of batiks for 5.99! Unfortunately, I can't think of the name of it right now (something like The General Store) and the information is with my fabrics back in Ohio, waiting to be shipped home to me (long story!) They did say that they have an on-line business. When I have all the information I'll send it to you.
