I searched the posts and found a couple of links to free embroidery designs for quilting motifs. But, many of the links don't work anymore. Anyone have some links to good designs that are free? I'm mainly looking for outline stitches that can be done on the sandwich. No fill stitching, just outlines.

There are some here:

Judy, I don't see where these are downloadable as embroidery designs? Cool site, though. I don't think I was clear that I was looking for machine embroidery designs.

designsbysick.com

They have free daily and hourly and hunt designs. I have downloaded tons. They also have 1 page of designs that are all $1 every hour, once a day they have happy hour and right now all design sets are 1/2 price. I love them!

This website has several that you can buy. Is there something special you are looking for? What are you putting them on? Tablerunners and small things work very nicely in the embroidery machines but some machines get a little fussy about the weight and drag of the larger quilts, last time I tried that on a big quilt I ended up spending three time the amount of time to pick them out.

Good luck with your search,

designsbysick is a great site.

this is my favorite site (so far) for machine embroidered quilting motifs:

the quilting motifs aren't usually offered free, but they are very inexpensive. you can buy them individually or in sets. you won't believe how many of the individuals are only $1 each! :-)

best news? they are having a half-price sale this weekend. everything not already on sale is half price if you use the code GiveMe50 when you check out. they will also automatically add 5 bonus patterns to your order free of charge. the sale ends at 11:59pm, central US time, tonight.
