yep, i try to always put the seat belt on mine. I don't trust other peoples driving.

i have a 30 yr old Singer in a cabinet. it was in perfect condition until i took it in for a cleaning and my hubby went to put it back into the cabinet. he dropped it just enough to break the plastic fold down top/lid. i was horrified! sigh!

When I bought my D1 the gals dad put it in my car for me. Betsy was seat belted in, the whole bit because as the 95 year old gentelman told me, "you don't want her to become a flying object if someone was to hit you. I always seatbelt Betsy in! Just a safelty thing.

I put my machine in the car with a seat belt.

Thank you guys for sympathizing. I'm starting to feel better. I took a couple of pics, so you could see how lucky I was it wasn't more. These are with a macro lens, so they are quite close-up. Just that one little spot smudged. I say it's just a battle scar and have decided it's not worth worrying over. I still love her.

This is the farther away pic.

I think you're right. You know something is going to happen to anything new. Then you can move on.

Don't even go there. My poodle had tummy trouble all weekend and kept leaving me presents in the house even if he just went out. Poor thing.

Well, maybe it's my eyes, but I can't see much wrong in the pics. And if it's stitch 59 poking out a bit, just call it a sunburst!

My daughter was in her new car and some women ran a red light and of course creamed my daughter's car. Much more than a scratch.

And what do you think were my daughter's first words right after the Firemen pried her out of the mangled mess..."Oh no, I broke a nail!"

She was a bit bruised and battered and alive, but the car died along with the finger nail on that day.

At least your machine still operates and now that the first scratch has made it appearencs you can relax and enjoy your sewing maching. I am glad it was not worse.

I went out of town about 2 weeks after I bought my Explorer, had not even paid a payment on it and some fool talking on a cell phone ran into the back of me at a light. I was soooo upset. More about the vehicle than me. So I know how you feel.
