Loctite adhesive spray ??

I have seen several threads about different type of adhesive sprays and techniques. Has anyone ever used Loctite adhesive spray for sandwiching their quilts? Is it save? My daughter-on-law purchased a can of it the other day for pasting on poster board. She got it at Lowe's for $4.99. Would appreciate any c comments on it

I would not use if for sandwiching. Its more for around the house type glue such as construction and repair. I reread and probably would be ok for pasting on poster board. I would cover/protect any items around it with newspaper or old cloth. You can also Google it for more info.

Loctite wouldn't be suitable for quilt basting. It's too strong and won't wash out.

I wouldn't use it for sandwich a quilt. It is made as an adhesive for attaching things permanently.

Since I used that spray to reattach the loose decals to my lawnmower, I'm gonna have to say no, I would definitely not use it for basting.

Don't use it. It is a heavy duty adhesive. Here is the description from the product website:

Application: Bond Headliners, Carpets, Trunk Linings, Door Panels and More.

Properties: High Strength, High Temperature Spray Adhesive, Retains Effective Properties In Contact with Automotive Fluids, Such As Motor Oil, Transmission Fluids, Alcohol and Antifreeze Solutions, Note: Not Recommended for Parts in Contact with Gasoline.

Not only is it permanent and would not wash out, it would probably freeze up your sewing machine or LA.
