Log Cabin-Different widths
Is there a pattern to make a log cabin quilt using different widths of fabric. I foolishly cut tooo much fabric for strip quilts and now I would like to do something different with them. Thanks for any help. Busy Lizzie

it is often referred to as a curved log cabin block or sometimes an offset LC. They are super easy to draft yourself with graph paper. I made one using 1 1/2" strips and 1" strips. I posted a pic here: https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictures-f5/scrappy-log-cabin-clam-shell-setting-t275921.html

I know I'm a broken record sometimes but the Converging Corners block is a fantastic use of different widths and scraps. You can even use scraps of background fabric instead of using all the same for a totally scrappy winner!

Thanks for sharing-I don't think I had ever seen it before. So, I copied it and printed it. I think it is a great block!

You can make a regular LCQ with different widths of fabric. Decide on the size you want the block to be and cut the blocks down to the same size.
