Log Cabin patterns

I have seen so many beautiful quilts in different log cabin patterns. I would love to have a book with the log cabin patterns - any recommendations from my Q B friends? WOW I finally figured out how to post a new thread. I may get the hang of this yet!

Sure glad you have figured it out. I have not been able to send or receive pm's in 2 days. I am just about to give up on this thing.

Books I have (e-books) and recommend:"Log Cabin Fever" (available at Martingales.pub); "101 Log Cabin Blocks" which I bought from Clotildes.com. Other vendors probably carry them, too. E-books are reasonably priced and one gets to download them at once, Martingales site also lets you preview the patterns. I love to paper piece log cabins, trying to use up some scraps whenever I feel too lazy or in dumps to do any "real" quilting. I have enough lc blocks to pave a foot ball field !

I'll put in a vote for Judy Martin - Log Cabin Quilt Book. She has some beauties in there, still traditional but with a twist. And I love her organisational tips and her piecing method. It was making quilts from that book that finally perfected my scant 1/4".

I can't offer a book idea, but I'll be watching for tips on a great LC book :)

I have the "101 Log Cabin Blocks" from House of White Birches, and it's a keeper. Think I'll check out the "Log Cabin Quilt Book" by Judy Martin that k3n is suggesting.

Hugs,

I'm not doing any better. This is my second try. I'll give it one more before I quit.

Judy Martin has a great book called Log Cabin Quilts, but I don't think it is a beginner book. Eleanor Burns (Quilt in a Day) has one more suited for beginners and she has all the different layouts in the back.
