I know that some of you have a love of rag quilts and log cabin quilts, there is a log cabin rag quilt that I just seen. It is in the book Log Cabin Quilts by Rita Weiss and Linda Causee. Just thought that I would pass this on :D

Oh I bet that's pretty. I think the combo could be really interesting!

What kind of fabric did they use? It sounds like an interesting combo. I love rag quilts, but have only done flannel and homespun.

Ok, so now I HAVE to make one of those.
Sigh......
I'll never be caught up.

Thanks for posting the picture amma. That really is a cool way to do a raggie, and I WILL plan to make one as soon as I can. :)

That's a lot of seams to clip--this would be a good candidate for John Flynn's weed cutter technique--he fluffls his rag quilts with a weed eater.
Saw his demo on Simply Quilts once upon a time.

I also seen where the quilter sewed the rag quilt pieces is pairs and she clipped as she went so that it did not have to be done all at once.
