This is the most wonderful board and the most wonderful group of people. We can talk about anything here and not have to feel in the least be timid. Happy Thanksgiving to you - hey you got us, what else do you need? Edie |
Welcome from South Florida, never heard of soy batting, just poly, cotton, wool, and now bamboo. Good luck.
|
Not sure, but have used a blend of soy fiber yarn and wool yarn for my GD's knit hats. The yarn was wonderfully soft and smooth. Good luck!

Another welcome from Connecticut. Hope you enjoy your stay here. It's fun.

Maybe that quilt would know enough to cool down when you had a "power serge" while under it! Love your thinking. |

Not bad. They also carry the bamboo batting and the cotton/silk mix. Haven't tried those yet...too cheap to part with that much $$ for stuffing. |
I have never seen soy batting but have seen soy fiber sold by the hank for doll hair and any thing else you can think of to use it for. It kind of reminds me of soft cotton piping cord, the big stuff you use to pipe bedspreads. It is really soft.

Another welcome from Oregon. You will enjoy this forum and learn a lot and get lots of support.

Plenty of answers to your questions. It is true you will never be lonely with this board to turn to. I have learned so much and always find a topic I am interested in.
Welcome from Michigan's Upper Penninsula. I am about 20 miles from Escanaba & 40 miles from Menominee. Lots of Yoopers around the country. Winter is settling in and hope to spend many hours quiliting (if I get off the computer!) |

Yoopers are people that have been born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I am actually a "Troll", meaning that I was born below the Bridge connecting upper and lower MI and have lived here 40+ years.

Welcome from Texas!

Sharon- cotton batting is made from cotton, like some fabrics and clothes, comes from a cotton plant. Soy batting has to come from the soy plant. I haven't heard of it before, but there certainly is a difference betweenm cotton and soy.
