Just curious how much long arm quilting cost in America or any country for that matter.
Here in Australia it is quite expensive.

There was a advert on Ebay for a long arm quilter who quilts for you she was charging £75.00 for a small lap quilt and for a double size quilt £200 and king size quilt £350.00 which is very expensive but the machine costs a lot so i am guessing they have to charge this amount in UK

It depends on the amount of quilting too. I've seen prices of .08 to .12 cents per sq inch.

It depends on the amount and type of quilting - and a few other factors can affect the cost too (the geographic area, the skill of the quilter, additional charges for thread, batting, etc.).

A simple overall meander can start as low as $.01 per square inch, but heirloom quilting can go much higher. Recently I learned that one quilter started her heirloom quilting at $.06 per square inch; another charges $.07 per square inch.

So let's say you had a quilt that was 90"x100" (9000 square inches). The price could range from as low as $90 for a meander up to $630 or more for heirloom quilting.

I use a VERY good long arm quilter in Montana that charges are the least and her work is as good as the really expensive quilters.. Mind you, specailty quilting will always be more expensive, but I always order the computerized qulting, and it is SO reasonable. The name of the co. is Butler Country Crafts.
