Long Arm Quilting Question

I just purchased a smaller Quilting Machine. What kind and size of straight pins do you use to attach the leader cloth to your quilt sandwich? My pins are are real old, so wondered about the newer pins! Thanks!

Corsage pins.

I use Red Snappers instead of pins to attach to the leaders. I don't know if those would be appropriate for your setup. Before getting the Red Snappers I just used the Dritz yellow-headed pins, but they did get bent easily.

My longarm came with a bunch of what I would call 'hat pins'--big and to me, not terribly sharp. Plus for these old hands, they were a pain in the you-know-where. First purchase was a set of Red Snappers. I got the DH to cut 2 of them in half so that I have more size options.

Corsage pins, I did not like the red snappers but adore the side snappers!

I used to just use the yellow head straight pins but now I use red snappers. Occasionally I'll add a couple straight pins at the outer corners as the red snappers tend to pop out on me.
