Longarm on Insul-brite?
 

I have a mid-arm machine and am STILL PRACTICING. I have a bunch of placemats and table runners that I have made over the years and am trying to catch up. :o) Have any of you longarmed using the insul-brite? Does it sew okay? Are there any problems with it? Appreciate your help - trying to clear up some of the UFO's. Ann

Yes, I have used a layer of insul-brite and a layer of warm and natural in several cassarole carriers that I quilted on the LA. I did not have any problem with it.

I have never tried to quilt insul-brite on a long arm, but I have done pot holders on my DM and didn't have a problem. I would think it would be the same. Hope someone with experience with a long arm can help you.

no reason for it to be a problem- a long arm machine is a pretty heavy duty machine that can stitch most anything- as long as you use the right needle. I've quilted heavy denim, corduroy, upholstery fabrics, canvas, microfiber and leather- so, insulbrite should be pretty simple

I longarmed a large piece with insulbrite in it and then cut it down into placemats. No problem at all.
