Longarm quilting

I am debating on using MSQC to do my FMQ - I have a king size quilt top I just finished and just not sure if I really want to tackle it. Have anyone used them? If so experience?

There are many members here on the quilting board that offer that service and judging by some posts that I have seen, a lot of very happy customers. Maybe have a look here http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...s-t169702.html

I have seen members post about having their quilts quilted by MSQC and they were happy.

I think msqc is having a sale on their quilting right now.

I figured out the amount which comes to 200.00 - I am forgoing it and going to stuff it in my 7700 machine. ; ( its just too much for me for a quilt that just the hubby and I see. I think I can do an ok job.

I don't know how you want to quilt the top, of course, but using the Acufeed on my 7700 I was able to straight-line quilt an oversize queen (almost king) with no trouble. Lots of stuffing and rearranging, of course. Just take your time and you'll end up with a quilt you're very proud of!

I have done straight line on a king with it but I have not done meandering, which is what I am hoping I can do. I think I can. I have the falling charms pattern, I modified it, so the squares are larger and smaller strips.

You can do it on the 7700. I just did a king size (111" square--) on one. There was room. Of course in the middle it was a little difficult, but you can do it! I think meandering is a little easier than the straight line quilting. It seems like you aren't in the middle quite as long! ;)

Alot of people have been very happy with MSQC. I quilt all my own so I have no experience with sending my quilt sout.

I'm sure you'll be able to do it yourself, and you'll have to post a pic when you're done. That said, $200 is a great price for a king-sized quilt, and I wouldn't be afraid to have MSQC do the quilting. We would definitely be higher than $200, but we mostly do custom so it tends to be higher anyway.
