I'm feeling super lucky as a relative in Ca is talking about giving me a Gammill Millenium!
But.... I'm also feeling clueless about how I can package that up and ship home to Southaven MS. (2000 miles yikes) Has anyone gone through this or have any guidance on how to do it? I'm not even sure what the total weight is. Thanks for any and all help! |
I don't know but for free it has got to be worth it...congrats...

I would call a professional shipping company- let them wrap and transport it. That way it will be insured, and they will know what to do.

I have 2 thoughts..Contact your local Dealer...you'll probably want help assembling a Gammill. Maybe they have an idea. The Gammill models that I'm familiar with are Supreme, optimum, Classic, vision 22 And Premiere. Or I did find online shipping contractors who can make this move happen. I don't remember exactly what I searched, but specialized shipping or something like that. I spoke to a coordinator who asked weight and dimensions, and provided pick up packing and delivery. It was reasonable. Good luck!

Thanks both so much.

I don't have a clue, but since I'm in CA., I'll pick it up for you and keep it safe for you. LOL

I recently shipped my wide format printer to FL. It was 4' high and 12' long. Cost $3000. Arrived in perfect shape. This was thru a shipping company. The moving co's would not insure it.

Road trip!
We drove to Washington State to pick up my Innova. We had a pickup at the time. The machine head rode in the back seat, and the poles stuck out a couple feet from the pickup bed. Fortunately it was only a one-day trip, and it didn't rain on us much. I would be very nervous about shipping the head because of all the damage that could be done if it isn't packed correctly. Are the poles 12' or so? If so that really limits the shipping options. Seriously, I would consider renting a U-haul if you don't have a pickup and picking it up myself. |
Meant to add that the Millennium is the longarm sold by APQS, not Gammill.
