Longarm tape measure ruler?
It's a tape measure with moveable pointers on it and is used to help keep the quilt edges even as you are advancing the quilt.
I saw it a few years ago in catalog? magazine?,but can't find any thing now. Did try to Google it, but couldn't find it Thanks for any help you can give me. :) |
it's called

I sort of made my own centering tape. I got a 288" measuring tape and some hair clips. I put a hair clip to mark the center of the machine/tape and add clips as I go along. You really don't need the inch markings because you will be using the clips to line up instead.

I have one and my toddler grand found it and pulled off the sliders. The sliders are very wimpy. It's very long.

I hate to say but I am not happy at all with mine. I just received my tape, set it up, and athough they claim non-stretching it seems to read differently every time I touch it. The options for attaching to the frame are not good in my opinion. I found it pretty much useless for my Avante 18 - there is no place on the frame to mount it where it stays at the right height (just above, but not dragging on, the quilt top).

I bought one and never used it...its not the first time I have done that! lol
