I need a walking foot and free motion foot. I was wondering if anyone knows of a web site that sells reasonable accessories?Thank you for your help, Michele
|
check their web site... WWW.Brother.com I think it is
|
I did their prices are a little on the high side.....Michele

I bought my walking foot from my local Singer/Pfaff dealer. It's a Brother foot but fits my Singer machine. $49.95.
|
Check Amazon.com

My singer feet work on my brother, both machines are made by the same company. I own 3 singers, One is 5 years old, one is 10 years old and one is brand new and so is my brother. and all the feet are interchangable with my brother. Amazon has really good prices.

I think you machine is a sewing/embroidery machine. I have the SE350 combo machine. You should have received the darning/fmq foot with the machine. Please check your accessories. Brother has very good customer service if it didn't come with your machine. Good luck!

I have the same machine. I bought my accessories from Allbrands.com. I thought the prices were reasonable, and their sales staff was extremely helpful - I wasn't sure if the accessories I wanted were compatible, so I called for clarification.
edited to add - If I remember right, I bought extra thread cassettes, a walking foot, and a 1/4" foot. My machine came with a free motion or embroidery foot. |
Have you been able to find the feet you need? I'm not even sure what I need but when I try to free motion quilt with my SE400 it sounds terrible, the back of my quilt sandwich is a mess, and I cannot make curves. How have you done with making the necessary machine adjustments?

I have the embroidery foot (Q), isn't this different then the (O) FM foot? Michele
|
What foot are you using to FM? Is it the (Q) foot for embroidery? Maybe thats why you are having a hard time with it..............Michele

I got mine from Amazon.com. I looked up the numbers on the brother site and then went to Amazon, saved a lot of money that way on Brother feet.

www.brothermall.com
www.allbrands.com www.sewingmachineplus.com these are my favorite for brother supplies all have excellent customer service |
Yes, I just looked and I think you are right. I have had 2 Brother machines and one has a Q on it and the other that looks very similar has no notation. So, I think I'll go online and see if I can find the O foot and give that a try.

Thank you to everyone.
I ordered the "O" foot and hope this will solve the problem. As soon as I read everyone's posts I went back to my owner's manual and sure enough it states that the O foot you need for free motion quilting is an option. |
dam1,
Where did you order your foot from? How was the price? Michele |
I ordered it from allbrands.com and think it was a little expensive at $35, but gotta have it! I think it was about the same price at brother.com.
|
check out the sewingwarehouse.com. They have great prices and incredible customer service!! They also ship fast.
