Do anyone know of any fabric site that have a collection of Black and White fabric.I want to make a Disappearing Nine Patch ..... Jerrie
I would try http://www.hancocks-paducah.com - they have everything! And yes, I admit, I am addicted to their website. I think I buy something almost every month, usually from their web-only specials pages. Great fabric, good prices, fast service. :D
If you go to http://www.thousandsofbolts.com/emails/112107/email_1121.html, they have their fabric sorted by color. I've ordered from them a couple of times and got my fabric pretty quickly.

Jerrie,
I liked the disappearing 9, too. I did a demo for my mom who absolutely LOVES 9 patches...she's a big fan now, too. I think that would be so pretty in a black/white combo! I thought I might have some in my stash to send you, but everything I have has an additional color in it. I'm on the lookout for red/whites but will let you know if I some good prices on blk/wht combos. |

Gotta admit that I'm addicted to Thousands of Bolts, too. I ordered from them and got the material within about 5 days.
Just 5 days? That's great. I haven't ordered fabric online yet but think that this may be the place to go. I like going to the fabric store, seeing the fabric, touching the fabric, finding about $50 of stuff I didn't go there for LOL. I'll have to make the transition to online shopping very soon. My favorite quilt shop is up for sale and I've already purchased just about every red/white combo from my second favorite, and 30s repros, and some blues for someday LOL you get the picture.
I order fabric from a site called Heart of Dixie, they have a lot of fabrics and have them organized by colors for you. I've been very happy with them have ordered several times and their shipping price is reasonable.
You ladies are such a fantastic source of insider info! Next month when I order the fabrics, I'll have to let you know what I came up with. Thanks for your suggestions and Jerrie, thank you for the question!!
I am late getting in on this one, but take a look here. Their fabrics prices are very good.

I don't have a good source to share with you, it looks like lots of others have responded already. I did want to tell you that I recently made a disappearing 9 patch out of minkee fabrics that I had in my stash. It is a baby quilt for a little boy. Though I am attracted to the cute juvenile prints, I've noticed young Moms tend to like more abstract and trendy fabrics. I used brown, blue, light green and pale yellow minkee. The mommy loved it (hopefully the baby will too)!
Jerrie, Eleanor Burns had some on her website www.quiltinaday.com that was 10 one-yard cuts for $25.00. I ordered some of it and am very pleased with it.
Jerrie,
I saw 20 B&W fat quarters for 23.99 on ebay. It's under the chantel lace company, but I assume you can just type it in on the search. |
