My brother asked me last night to make him a wall hanging with black/white cats on it! I am a beginner quilter so would love to hear your ideas! I have done a lot of applique on clothing so appliquing some cats might work. Thanks for all your help!

Try: fatcatpatterns.com She has wonderful appliques.

You sure can! However, I live in Canada and it will take about a month to get the pattern here unfortunately!

What cute patterns. I love cat quilts.

I would like to find the pattern for Stairway to Cat Heaven. I just saw a quilt like that and it is so pretty. Does anyone know where I could find a download for that? I saw that it was a free download with McCalls but it is not available anymore.

BellaBoo 06-11-2010 09:29 AM

I posted a long time ago about the link I had that works for the free pattern of Stairway. It may still work. It's been reposted many times here by others too. Check Link and Resources to find the link.

I bought this cat pattern and love it.

Found the link for Stairway and it works. Print it out now because it could go off line anytime.

Thank you so much for finding this! I have saved it to my folders and will print it out tonight. I will start collecting the fabrics to make this soon. Geeeeeeeezzzz....another quilt project! I have the next several quilts planned to make. Talk about getting ahead of myself.

tebill 06-11-2010 02:23 PM

Thanks so much for the link! There are a lot of great pdfs on quilting there on that site as well!

What is her web site?? Also - love the moose - is that Toni Whitney's??

applique 06-11-2010 07:36 PM

http://maggiewalkerdesign.com is her web site. I love the shell collection and end of summer. The moose is by Toni Whitney. I enlarged it so I could more easily machine applique it with satin stitch. Working on one of her horses and Ryan McKenna's Out & About, among others!

Here is a link to a very cute cat quilt designed by Lori Faye Bock. This site sells the entire kit, but you can just buy the pattern if you would like:) http://www.alderwoodquilts.com/shopp...sp?ID=06184014

Just had to share this as this thread is devoted to Cat Lovers. This artist is named Lori Faye Bock. I shared links with her quilt patterns in the posts up above:)

For more detailed, realistic cats, Maggie Walker and Toni Whitney.

I know this thread is an old one, but here is my cat quilt idea. I was trying to use up the tiger stripe charm squares that were left over from a set. I thought of making them into this quilt for my mom's cat, who had been leaving a big dust in a spot at the place he likes to sleep on the bed. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7011/6...a35ec2e483.jpg
