Looking For ... Christmas Tree Pattern??

Hello All,
I'm thinking ahead to Christmas and am looking for a Christmas Tree Pattern.

Have seen it before. Thought I had it. Can't find it, if I do!

Here's what I remember about it ...
* Large size ... wall or door hanging ... or if smaller, could be enlarged on copier.
* Paper pieced to give more of a crazy quilt or random patchwork effect. (Not the traditional tidy evergreen of triangles stacked with their tops cut off, kind of like flying geese. Does that make sense?)
* Not a simple triangle ... the random piecing above gives the pointy branches sticking out like an evergreen, with whatever background showing.
* Trunk shows below tree, and down to the tree skirt.
* Tree skirt ... 1/2 circle made of pie shaped pieces, paper pieced.

I've searched both my computer and paper files. Googled to no end. It eludes me!

So I'm asking, can someone please help me?
THANK YOU!!!

Hi
I wonder if you are thinking of the patterns by Cindy Edgerton called Tall Trim the Tree and A LIttle Bit Shorter Tall Tree. There was also a version of this in an older quilting magazine but I can't remember which one. If I come across it, I'll post the info.

Something like this?
If so. it is a pattern you buy and paper piece. It is called a little bit taller tree. Like the other gal said. I made one in green traditional colors and was considering this one next. You can also buy the little pp ornaments to hang on it.

I was thinking of the Cindy Edgerton pattern also. I made it a few years ago and it comes out really cute.

Thank You Ladies!! ... for the lead to Cindy Edgerton's trees.
Would you please show me pics of the ones you have each made?
I'd really appreciate it!

I remember seeing the Edgerton trees before, and the one I had in mind is similar to these, except with a wider base, compared to the top, to give more of an angle for the outside edge of the tree. Or maybe said another way, the Edgerton trees always look tall and skinny to me. Do those explanations make any sense to you, as to what I am looking for?

Being that I have never seen the Edgerton trees IRL, seeing how yours each turned out, may have me change my mind and decide to use one of them.

My goal is to make one to fit on a door (or wall).

Thank You!!

I wonder if it might be http://www.connecttheblocks.com/shop...ll-Hanging.htm although no pattern by itself, but is included with the kit.
ETA- doesn't list sizes (3) just that the largest is16.5” x 25.75”.

Here is my finished tree. It is in with the other projects shown on this thread.

Thought I would throw this one into the works for consideration. It's a plait with strips, you don't have to have the embroidery on it, and can be made any size. For a larger size, the strips can be pieced, and a skirt or tub added, but don't know if there is a pattern anywhere.

I think I know what you are looking for. Google Sage Country Christmas Tree. I made this one and it was fun. After I quilted and bound it, I added Christmas Charms that I got on Amazon. It is really neat quilt. Wish you luck.

Sorry Ladies, I know I have been MIA ... too much life happening!
Yet amidst that I have started my inspiration pile on the corner of my desk, with notes and some print outs, to keep my tree project in my mind ... and keep me moving towards it.

OurWorkbench ... Once again, your sleuthing powers score! That's got more of the look that I want than others I've seen yet. Wish I could get this tree pattern and the Edgerton one side by side to really compare. Maybe they are more alike than I think?

RedGarnet ... Nicely done! Seeing yours as a "real" one does have me more attracted to the pattern now. Do you think I could extend the pattern to get a bit taller of a tree? Your runner has a nice elegant look to it.

Gay ...The bedspread tree is very intriguing. Would be a challenge to keep it balanced, but certainly would be a unique one. Have seen the PP tree, but want something more random, than HSTs this time.

GGKay ... WOWzers, now that's some tree!!. The pattern says pieced and applique. So I am thinking the tree is all applique and the only piecing is the borders? Would love to see a photo of yours, GGKay!! Please? and Thanks!

I keep saying to myself, don't panic! and oh I have lots of time til I need this. Then I get a grip o n reality and remind myself, I really need to get going on it. Or next thing, Christmas will be here and there'll be no tree. Just.Cannot.Have.THAT!! :)
