A few nights ago I was net surfing and came across a dresden pattern that was cut from pieced strips creating a unique block. Today my daughter asked for a wall hanging in dresden plate and thought this would be fun for her but I cant find it again (grrrrrr). Has anyone seen & maybe bookmarked something like this? Have looked at the "modern" dresden plate pattern and thats not it, neither is the kalediscope dresden pattern.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks |

You ladies are so good at finding things, is there a trick. I get to frustrated when I look for things and can't find them after a few trys.

it is the choice of words used in the search sometimes. Like in this one I used:strip piecing dresden quilt block pattern or you could try funky dresden quilt block pattern...some times I get lucky...sometimes I come up empty

You can also check your "history" it should give you a list of all the sites you have visited each day..

I don't know exactly what you are looking for but here is one I did awhile back. It is strip pieced.

Will try to describe it better.
You cut strips either wof fabric or set length. Sew them together then cut out dresden templates crossing seam lines at angles - can be done so the wedges are all the same or different. One of the samples also looked like a spiral when the wedges were sewn together. The points also are not "traditional" My scanner is not working or I would try to draft it. |
