Recently someone posted to the forum that they were looking for fabric with vegetable/fruit motifs. While shopping today at Mary Jo's Fabric store in Gastonia, North Carolina, I came across about 22 bolts of just such fabric. They have a web site which shows all in stock fabric. The prices were between $5.49 and $5.99, for top quality and major manufactures. The website I found to be a little difficult to use, but once I figured it out all went well, so be patient. Hope this helps. OH, just google Mary Jo's Fabric to get to the site. :!:

I checked the site out and it does look like they have about anything you could want. I know that I went to Main Floor to get the fabrics that are theme related. http://www.maryjos.com/store/fabrics.aspx this is where I saw the fruit fabric

They do have a great selection, but beware of their shipping costs. When I ordered 3 yards of fabric, the saleslady was supposed to call me back with the total cost including shipping. 2 days later, my fabric was here, and I was charged more for shipping than for the fabric.

Keepsake's shipping rates are clearly stated on their website and are based on the purchase amount of each order. There is no way you could have been charged more for shipping than for your fabric even if you live abroad. They are a generous entity here in New Hampshire and are responsible community citizens. Their staff, both in-store and on-line, go out of their way for each and every customer. The store is totally awesome so if you are ever in this part of the country. do plan to visit. And remember, no sales tax in NH!

Check Walmart, I just got some fabric for 2.44 a yard with strawberries, peppers, cherries and watermelon. They had others but I wanted to make some quick potholders and only got these 4.

I was at Mary Jos store back in the summer of 2000 when I drove from Nova Scotia to Florida... ooooooooooooooooooooh what damage I did!!! And I was holding back!!! I can't imagine what the officers at the border would have done to me had I not held back!!! LOL I would loooooove to get back to that store again!! It was like a fabricaholics paradise there!

hmm I wonder if I ordered from there if they ship to Canada???

Keepsake also has charm squares of the food lines

lazycay 06-13-2008 03:50 AM

I was referring to shipping costs from Mary Jo's...not Keepsake.

My apologies. Thanks for the clarification. :-)

nanmal 06-13-2008 05:26 AM

MAry Jo's shipping price goes along with the $$$$$$$$$ you spend....not the weight....they have that posted on the site....
