I've decided I need another sewing machine. Last night I thought I'd do a little piecing but my Viking is set up for FMQ. So I said to myself, "Wouldn't it be nice to have a small second machine for times like this." And of course my next thought was, "Why not a Featherweight?" I may or may not inherit a 301, could be several years. But right now the Featherweights are starting to look pretty attractive to me. Now I just need to figure out how to explain this to my husband.

Well... Christmas IS coming up soon :D:D:D

I bought a featherweight about 6 years ago and I remember that once I decided I wanted one, there was no stopping me! lol... Happily, my husband had no problem with it, so now I have two. HowEver! If I wanted a Third machine (which I wouldn't mind at all!), well, there would be No explaining That. If I want a Third machine, I'll have to outlive him. Luckily for him, I don't have Room for a Third. (*grin* Just Kidding! cough cough...)

I knew one woman whose husband was mad for hunting. She got a new sewing machine or a new ring every time he brought in a new gun. It's an absolute mystery why men NEED so many guns to hunt with, when my uncles used to bring in deer with an old one my Grandfather used in his youth.
Sure wish I could have moved faster to get to the last feather weight I saw in an estate sale last month!!! |
Oh I was on the FW bandwagon too. I didn't just WANT one -I HAD TO GET ONE!! I was so driven!!
But I love it so much I couldn't be happier!! :D |
