Looking for a good Tea Dye Product for Vintage Quilts

I want to tea dye a vintage quilt and do not want to use tea or coffee. I found one product but it was a spray on type. I want a product I can use in the washing machine. I thought Rit made one especially for this but can't seem to find it. Does anyone have suggestions?

http://www.ritdye.com/colorit_color_formula_guide here is a guide to all the colors that Rit has and if you click or hover over the color you like, it will tell you what color dye and amounts needed to make it.

What ever became of the product called "Tea Dye"? I can't find it with a google search no matter how I word the search. Granted it's been over 10 years since I've seen the product in quilt stores, LOL!

Okay, after some further google investigation, I came up with this product "Dylon Tea Dye" might be what Jan in VA is referring too. . .

"tea" dye is dying with tea. Lipton loose tea is the ticket.

Yeah, do they still make that? I used it eons ago to dye some cotton doilies that I framed. It worked like a charm!

I use actual tea with good results. Probably cheaper too.

Tea, and coffee as well, are extremely acidic. No way would I use it on fabrics, especially vintage fabrics.
