Looking for greens
Due to a fall in October while walking the dog, I've spent time in the ER twice, and have been sitting with an ice bag behind my lower back for weeks. Not a comfortable chair in the house that I can sit in for longer than 30 minutes either so not much sewing and or housework is getting done. Still...realizing that it could be another 6 or 8 weeks before being comfortable again, I'm wanting to collect quarter or half yafd of many multiple greens to make a quilt for my own bedroom (thinking 2 1/2 squares, triangles. Most places require a full yard cut. Can you tell me where to look for pretty greens in the cuts I desire?

Sorry to hear about your falling and the additional ER visits
I found out about this fabric source here on the QB. No affiliation here is link : https://www.thousandsofbolts.com |

Linda, I'm so sorry for what you're going through- bummer!
Jordan Fabrics or Missouri Star? I really don't have a good answer. Feel better soon! |
Lots of Etsy sellers will sell a quarter yard or fat quarter. Some also have free shipping with a minimum purchase. You may also find fat quarter bundles.

Lunn Fabrics on Etsy has a great collection of 1/2 yard cuts and fat quarter cuts. I’ve bought from her a couple of times. Great batiks. Fat Quarter has bundles of fat quarters. Also a great place.

I agree with Etsy. I recently needed some fat quarters of various solids and found all the fabrics I needed on Etsy at a reasonable price.

try occasionally popping in to Equilter. In the Precuts section they have Scrap packs. I do not see any specific green ones listed currently, but they change up their offerings here and sometimes sell packs of a color family (for example, they have an earthtone/neutral scrap pack currently). When I got some scrap packs in the past, most all were about a quarter yard WOF, maybe less, but certainly enough to do something with.

Buy FQ bundles online, etsy or ebay, or places like Hobby Lobby will do 1/4 yard cuts but you have to go in.

Fat quarter shop has several green fat quarter bundles

Laundry Basket Quilts has a fat quarter grab bag of greens (as well as bundles of neutrals, blue and reds).

Wilmington Fabrics makes some beautiful basics in pre-cuts. Here's a link: https://wilmingtonprints.com/fat-quarters The 5 Karat Gems are 5" squares. They come in 10" squares and 2 1/2" strips, too. There's a nice green selection. You just have to find them on Etsy or somewhere. Or get a local shop to order them for you.

Quilted Twins sells in half yard bundles.

I bought a few pieces in brown/tan/beige tones from Fat Quarter shop yesterday to go in the quilt I want to make. Very reasonably priced for quarter yards.

EQuilter sells 1/2 yards https://www.equilter.com/product/291...-digital-print

Here is the link for the Fat Quarter Shop. The first place that came to my mind. https://www.fatquartershop.com .

Try using witch hazel on your back. You just douse a hand or kitchen towel and place it where the swelling injury is. Keep it on like a compress for a while. Repeat as necessary. Pretty amazing stuff and very inexpensive fix to swelling, bruises and strains.

eQuilter was mentioned before as selling 1/2 yards -- they also have their scrap packs which are wonderful stash enhancers, but ti depends on what you are looking for and what they have. I've gotten a few and was always happy.
https://www.equilter.com/category/38...se-scrap-packs Again, you don't know what you will get, but they also have precut packages in various sizes like: https://www.equilter.com/product/121...orgeous-greens or, just one left of green batiks https://www.equilter.com/product/290...quarter-packet |
These are solids but it’s a start.
https://www.connectingthreads.com/me...ampler/p/96082 I think they will also cut FQ for you. I’ve had mostly good luck buying fabric bundles on eBay. Here is a bundle on Etsy and there are more also:https://www.etsy.com/listing/1074257..._click=1&frs=1 |
