Looking for ideas for a fun way to give out a prize during a guild program.

At our guild meetings, we draw a name for a door prize. I plan to give out an additional prize for the program I will be presenting, along with a friend.

Please send me your ideas for a fun way to give a way a prize besides drawing a name. Thank you!

I just thought of an easy way and I am answering my own question:))

Put a charm square (5" fabric square) taped under a seat. The winner of the prize is the one sitting in the chair with the charm square!

just a thought, is everyone physically able to check under their chair? in our guild, there are challenges

I agree with QuiltnNan, I am one who has challenges! If there is a luncheon and plates are not carried to a buffet line or such then tape it to the bottom of the plate or mark cup or saucer in some other way. Sounds like a fun time.

I like the idea of the seat having the winner. That would be fun. Those that can't reach under their seat won't have to do anything unless there is no winner then someone can look for them.

Almost everyone carries a purse or bag - and the guys have pockets - maybe ask if someone has something "unusual" with them - but then there is the risk of more than one person having whatever.

A flashlight? marbles? 6 foot or longer measuring tape?

My father in law would win every time if that was the case, and if he quilted! He wears cargo pants and loads the pockets!

Perhaps have everyone write a four digit number down on a piece of paper, then draw four single digit numbers until someone checks off their numbers in order. Sort of like bingo. Would that work?

or ask if anyone has a birthday that day?

Our guild gives out several door prizes at each meeting. When members sign in, they sign on a numbered line. The membership committee has poker chips with numbers written on them. The committee then draws chips and the person with the corresponding number wins. I hope that makes sense.
