Most straight cut rulers have a 60 degree mark on them. I cut mine in strips and then used the 60 degree mark to make my first diamond cut and would re-align every few cuts like the link to the stripe one that Jane posted.

I was in JoAnns yesterday and had a coupon. So I bought this ruler. I tried it out this morning and it is super! I got perfect 60 degree diamonds with one cut. Now I have several piles of diamond shape fabric cut from my scrap bin. I could't stop at one pile.

The more I read, the more I think that might be the way for me to go. I am pretty sure I could do that without too much trouble. Thanks for the reminder.

This looks so easy! I would love to have something that worked this well. Maybe I could buy one when we go back for visas next year.
