Most straight cut rulers have a 60 degree mark on them. I cut mine in strips and then used the 60 degree mark to make my first diamond cut and would re-align every few cuts like the link to the stripe one that Jane posted.

I was in JoAnns yesterday and had a coupon. So I bought this ruler. I tried it out this morning and it is super! I got perfect 60 degree diamonds with one cut. Now I have several piles of diamond shape fabric cut from my scrap bin. I could't stop at one pile. |
