I'm thinking of doing the long arm thing!!! :-D I have sewn with some nice machines, and one I loved was the prodigy. And now I've heard about the AMB Innova. I'm thinking either 22' or 26" - how much of a difference is there? How big a frame? I can probably go 12 or 14'. I'm not really looking at Gammil or AQS, or the very expensive ones - I'm liking the Innova right now.

I'm thinking Charisma here on the board might have something to say on this subject. I believe she does her fantastic work on an Innova 26

I have a 26" Innova on a 10 ft frame. If I had the room I would have gone on a bigger frame. I love, love, love my Innova. I think it is the best bang for the buck LA on the market. You won't regret getting it.

As far as between the 22" or the 26" if you can pay the little extra go for the bigger throat. I don't use all the quilting space I have simply because I can't reach that far but I love having it.

I have the 26" Innova on the 12' frame. I love it. I like having the full 26".

Gammill's start at $8995 complete with stitch regulator and laser for tracing pantographs, and includes a 10 ft or 12 ft table.

So is the table extra for the Gammill?

I love when this topic comes up again. Yesterday I was test driving some LAs myself at a sewing festival. I really liked the Handi-Quilter Avante. It would be interesting to follow this to see if any comments on that particular one.

well I have a gam mil myself but you asked about table size - really honestly it is very rare to have a quilt that you would deed a 4 foot table for I can do a king size on my 12 easily you also have to think about how much space you have you need 13 feet long and about 6 ft wide the more the better but you need 2 feet behind the table to get behind it if you are quilting form the front and you will need good space in the front....

Nope, Thanks for pointing out my wording error! I edited the above post to read includes 10 ft or 12 ft table!
