Looking For Name Of Pattern

Can you tell me the name of this? Or does it even have a name?? I saw a picture online that was red, black, and white, and thought I might like to try it in different greens.

Eleanor Burns, Hole in the Wall. https://www.quiltinaday.com/shoponli...ay.asp?i=44071

I've made it, goes together quickly.

Thanks, dunster. I really like that.

Thanks so much.

Dunster, I would love to see your version.

She nailed it! Hole in the wall. It was one of my very first attempt in a quilt class. I didn't have great fabric colors but it was still OK!

It is also a fast one. Have fun!

This version looks a bit different than Eleanor's..the center block is larger and the surrounding strips are narrower. Where did you find the pictures on Pinterest (I love a good mystery!)?

soccertxi 03-26-2018 03:42 PM

I found one...not sure if your choice is the same pattern, but looks close:

From 'Simply Modern Christmas' by Cindy Lammon. I found it on the Martingale publishing website...

Yes the corner sections look narrower to me also. It is kind of wide open. I think that's why I like it. I am having to do the math for the one I drew up. Hope I get it right. I'm already picking fabrics. Will have to do a test block though, to make sure I got it correct. :)
I do not remember where I saw the picture, but if I see it again, I will let you know.

Oh boy, another one in the wings!

LGJARN52 03-27-2018 04:18 AM

Oh heavens!! Another one to my bucket list. I had to print out the picture design from each page to see the slight difference in each one. Michael Miller has narrower connecting lines than the Eleanor Burns pattern. Still, it's the picture that Boston1954 posted that I like the best. I have a green fabric with yellow gold roses and a golden fabric for the middle squares, and always enough of a neutral to use for connecting lines. At least I won't be buying more fabric!!

I really like that, thank you so much for sharing !

Garden Lattice is the name I found on this blog: http://hyacinthquiltdesigns.blogspot...rdika.html?m=1
She had a tutorial on it-I didn’t check to see if it’s still available. This one has the larger Center block & looks like it would be fairly easy to figure out if the tutorial or pattern aren’t available.

Conchalea 03-27-2018 05:53 AM

No, there’s no tutorial on this link, but she does have a good picture of the quilt, plus she set it on point, an interesting variation.

It reminds me of the Garden Path quilt that I made. I alternated the Garden Path block with a simplier cross block to make my quilt: https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictur...h-t266134.html

I have used it a couple times. It is called Garden Path.

ArtsyOne 04-12-2018 05:31 AM

Boston - I love your fabrics! Thanks, Soccer, for posting the link to a tutorial. Now it's on my to-do list - hope it turns out as pretty as Jenn's.
