Looking for Pattern Christmas Ribbon

I am looking for a pattern for a quilt that I saw and now I can't find it again, even to link to it.
The entire quilt was mostly blank space but had a Christmas bow and ribbon tails on it that had a shadow around the edge. It didn't look appliques, it looked pieced.

Any ideas?

Watson

Not sure about the shadow around the edge but it something like this?

https://sewfreshquilts.blogspot.com/...stmas-bow.html

or this?

https://quiltartdesign.com/product/origami-bow/

Can you look back in the History of your computer? Maybe you will remember the site if you see it in your History. Just a thought.

Very pretty but not quite.

It was on FB that I saw it...I'll keep looking.

I think I too saw one on one of those ads on FB - I will keep my eyes open and let you know if I see it again.

Watson 12-01-2019 10:06 AM

I found it on McCall's site on FB, but we aren't allowed to link to FB, I don't think????

I've scoured McCall's site and can't find it.

Watson

It's on the McCall's Quilting page, October 23 on FB.

Links to FB are OK only if it does not require a sign up to view the link. [to test that, sign out of FB and see if you can view it] --- also, links cannot be posted to your own or affiliated FB page

........ and with that being said ....... Watson ... I'm just so not a FB'er to know how to find it, even with your info. So if by chance it meets the muster, I'd really appreciate the link. You have me totally intrigued on this one! Of course, I need more inspiration and ideas .... not like my brain is not already overstuffed already!

Very cool quilt I've not seen before. Good luck finding the pattern.

Oh My!!! Please share info if you find the pattern. I am really lousy with finding things on the internet and even worse at how to share links. Seriously I 'm practically a cave woman at it...

DebbieJJ - glad I could find it.

Is the pattern actually square? or is it actually six-sided? I saw one image laid out and it looks like the quilt isn't actually square.

bkay - I'm just persistent :o (and with this one, I was lucky). Interestingly, google doesn't show the link when I used the search term --

site:quiltingcompany.com "The Gift "

but then I tried bing.com and it is the second result.

I have seen pieced wall hangings of wreaths similar to what you described, but I am not sure if that's what you have in mind. It really sounded more like you wanted a full sized quilt.

Janey, the directions say that it will make a quilt that is 72" x 72" and it has a darker shadow-looking fabric on two sides, so that may be why it doesn't look square. Wherever you saw the 6-sided quilt, the maker must have done their "own thing" to it. I'll bet it was pretty!

I finally found it again at https://www.pinterest.com/pin/402227810471136435/ I had to click on the image to see all of the quilt. if you look at the lower left corner and maybe upper right corner, it appears not to be square. I usually don't "do" pinterest and I don't know how to navigate to find out where that original image came from.

Also, the link Watson gave https://www.facebook.com/McCallsQuil...type=3&theater the lower left corner doesn't look square, nor does it look like it has been folded under.

DebbieJJ 12-03-2019 04:23 AM

Janey, you are right, I hadn't noticed it, but the directions say to trim the bottom left edge and the top right edge of the "shadow" fabric to give it that look. I would say that is optional, and I might not do it. My day yesterday was full of appts. and a birthday lunch for my DH, so I didn't pay much attention to that part of the pattern then or this morning, I was just looking at the picture but didn't notice the two corners. I'm sorry.
But all of that to say this....I like the look of the corners after I noticed them!

OurWorkbench 12-03-2019 04:33 AM

Thank you for confirming.

I bought it too... It's a neat looking quilt! I wonder how many patterns they sold today? :D

nativetexan 12-03-2019 03:36 PM

Oh, they cut the corner like it was a ribbon.
