Just make the blocks on on the dark sides finish half as big as the blocks on the light sides, or vice versa.

This free e-book from Fons and Porter includes a curved log cabin:

I made this quilt with curved log cabin blocks. My center square was 1 1/2" unfinished. The "fat" logs were 1 1/2 unfinished and the "skinny" were 1". Assemble blocks like any LC. My blocks finished at 6 1/2" before setting them into the quilt (6" finished)

Here's a drawing I did for a different layout.
I don't have a photo of my actual quilt; it's so much prettier than the drawn graphic.

Jan, that is beautiful. It really takes the log cabin up a notch!

I think, but not sure, Jenny Doan, Missouri Quilt Co., has a tutorial for a Curved Log Cabin.

I just recently made a curved log cabin. I designed the quilt in EQ7. I also used the Creative Grid curved log cabin ruler. The ruler made it really easy to construct the blocks and they were perfectly squared after you do the last trimming.

a basic curve is established by changing the width of the strips. Example - one side uses 2 1/2" strips and the solid side uses 1 1/2" strips. The difference forces a curved look.

Be sure to make a couple of sample blocks. My first one was a terrible color mess.

Jan!! I love your layout!! Did you do it on EQ? What was the size of block that you worked with?
