Thank you all so very much . The quest is over. The Amy Butler pattern is what I was looking for.
I have book marked Quiler's Cache: Quiltville: b.quilt. I need a year of uninterrupted time to get through all those patterns. Whew!! I have to make a quilt to take home to Barbados on my vacation at the end of this month. So I needed a simple and not difficult pattern. Again thanks for all your help.

I am in a baseball quilting group that bets fabric squares on the teams. We swap 6 1/2" squares. That's at least 150 squares twice a year. So I cut the squares in half for the brick and use a muslin square the proper size. I have made a lot of those quilts over the years.

This one was all flowered pieces so I called it stepping stones in my flower garden. The childrens ones are great for lids and Linus quilts

It is called Streak of Lightning Quilt. and it is a free pattern on her site. You may have to register to get to the free stuff, but worth it.

The brick pattern is simply a 3 x 6 rectangle piece sashed with 1" cut (1/2" finished). The rectangles is staggered middle of block to middle of sashing etc. Try it on something small like a baby quilt and see if this doesn't work for you. Happy bricking!
PS. the brick can be any size you want it to be usually twice as long as wide.
